Five Rings Aerospace Gains CASA PNG Approvals

Five Rings Aerospace is happy to announce that we now have Design Organisational Approval for CASA PNG.


We were formally approved by CASA PNG on the 10th of November.

 

The scope of the approval includes modifications and repair schemes across the following categories:

 

1.       Electrical and Avionics

2.       Mechanical Systems and Structures

Australian Association for Unmanned Systems Membership

We are pleased to announce our membership to the Australian Association for Unmanned Systems (AAUS) http://aaus.org.au/

The Australian Association for Unmanned Systems (AAUS) is Australia’s largest industry advocacy group for unmanned systems. Five Rings Aerospace is proud to support the objectives of the AAUS as an advocate for automation technology to improve aviation safety and efficiency across the entire Australian aviation industry.

 

Huey Fire Service Modification

We recently had the pleasure of being involved with Eagle Copters Australasia’s upgrade and modification of ‘Huey’ VH-ONZ for fire service operation. Five Rings Aerospace provided engineering support for the upgrade of radios, a new instrument panel and updated interior.

The helicopter is painted in pink to raise awareness for the Cancer Council.

Aircraft Electronics Association Membership

We are pleased to announce our membership to the Aircraft and Electronics Association. Founded in 1957, the Aircraft Electronics Association represents nearly 1,300 member companies in 43 countries, including government-certified international repair stations specialising in maintenance, repair and installation of avionics and electronic systems in general aviation aircraft.

Welcome – Duncan Greer (Avionics Engineer – Brisbane Office)

We welcome Duncan Greer to the Five Rings Aerospace team in the position of Avionics Engineer (Brisbane Office). Duncan is an Avionics Engineer with over 13 years experience working on a variety of interesting projects.

Duncan came to Five Rings Aerosapce after working as an Avionics Research Engineer at ARCAA on Unmanned Aircraft and General Aviation automation and safety systems.  He also holds a Commercial Pilots License and UAV Controller Certificate.
